The Culture of MorningSun
The culture of MorningSun is a culture of presence, understanding, and non-violence. We value living and working together without haste and with care, thoughtful consideration, and joy. We encourage loving speech. We work to embrace and transform reactivity and blaming. We are aware that happiness is not in the attainment of one's desire but in the unfolding of life as the whole cosmos comes together in a celebration of every moment.

Of critical importance to the harmony of the resident staff community is our continuous training in deep listening and loving speech. This training is based on the techniques taught by Thich Nhat Hanh and used in the tradition of the Plum Village Practice Center. As the community is able it will learn and integrate other techniques such as the Non-Violent Communication practices taught by Marshall Rosenberg.

This is a rare opportunity to take part in of the formative process of community-based educational work!
